There’s a New Latvian Rap Video About Kristaps Porzingis and It’s Great

A few months ago, we brought you word of a Latvian rap song that honored Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis. It was a banger. Well it turns out Transleiteris aren’t the only Latvian rappers obsessed with the Zinger. Nope. It turns out a second group called Olas also wants their love to be known. And that love comes in the form of a new song called “Keep Calm and Kristaps Porzingis.” Because why not?

My worry with all this attention is that it will destroy the chemistry the Knicks are building. After all, one gets the sense that Carmelo doesn’t love how much love KP gets. It’s not that Melo unfairly wants the attention, it’s just that Melo is a legitimate superstar and Porzingis is being talked about as though he already is one too, even though he still has a way to go. But thankfully I’m not the only one worried about this, because the boys from Olas were ready for that as well. And they put it so beautifully when they said “Carmelo Anthony, shout out.” See, Melo? People still love you too.

Anyway, Olas wants you to vote for Kristaps to go to the All-Star game. He’s not going to make it, but you should vote for him anyway, because they went out of their way to make a whole rap song about it. I mean they got Lamborghinis and everything. That’s a lot of work. The least you can do is tweet.
