Everyone knows that cats love to climb and “fit” at the most inopportune space. As it turned out, the dogs love to get into the boxes, cans and baskets, they do that like small cats. In the end, there is every reason to believe that the dog is also like a liquid.
for his latest series of paint action photography, swiss artist fabian oefner has once again captured ephemeral beauty by uniting gravity and liquid chroma to yield delicate and fragile ‘orchid’ structures. through the synthesis of natural forces and acrylic paint, blossom-like arrangements emerge from the fluid matter. filling a tank with several layers of different tones — with the top coat being either black or white — oefner drops a sphere directly into the solution. as the plunging object falls, the paint it splashes into is forced upwards, shaping the blend of liquified hues into floral-like forms. when photographed with high speed cameras, an image is permanently preserved, capturing a moment that transpires for only a fraction of a second before disappearing beneath the surface again.

Belgium-based photographer Manon Wethly creates the kind of art that only lives in her photographs: she tosses different containers with various liquids up in the air and captures the beautiful shapes they create. Calling her project the Flying Stuff, Manon already spilt a good deal of coffee, wine, juice, milk and other liquids in order to freeze their matter-of-seconds beauty and elegance. Besides, she’s mostly been doing it with her iPhone!
