Walking among the clouds is technologically infeasible, but glass bridge is a close second. The longest walkway just opened in Shiniuzhai Geopark in Chinese province of Hunan. It’s about 984 feet / 300 meters long and 590 feet / 180 meters high. It’s both the world’s longest glass bridge.
Many of pictures show visitors struck with terror. The bridge was converted from wood by 11 engineers using planes of glass 25 times stronger than regular window glass.
It’s build to withstand impact, but tourists are issued special protective footwear. The bridge connects the two peaks of Stone Buddha Mountain. There’s a longer bridge under construction, click here to check it out.
