Norway is famous for its majestic fjords and one company is taking advantage of this winter wonderland by developing a five-star hotel that floats right in the middle of this epic landscape.
“The design is based on an ice crystal which blends-in naturally with the “winter environment” between the most beautiful fjords,” says Dutch Docklands, the company developing the “Krystall Hotel.”
The hotel plans to have 86 rooms, complete with a spa and wellness center, and incredible views of The Northern Lights each night.
The hotel will be located in Tromsø, which is prime real estate to see the Aurora Borealis.
And to make the hotel even more spectacular, it will be designed to move between six and 10 feet either side of its epicenter.
Hotel prices aren’t finalized yet, but seeing as this hotel is costing 15% more than the average building (because of its floating foundation), expect to pay a pretty penny.
I’m definitely up for staying in this floating snowflake hotel (if someone can foot the bill)—what an adventure!
